SmartStreet smartstreet

Terms of Use

Last updated: 15 May 2026 · Applies to the SmartStreet iOS app + agent portal.

1. Who these terms apply to

These terms (the "Terms") form a contract between you and SmartStreet (sole trader, Deepak Cheri, based in the United Kingdom). They apply whenever you use the SmartStreet iOS app, the agent portal, the area-report web page, or any other SmartStreet service. If you don't agree with these Terms, please don't use the service.

2. What SmartStreet is — and isn't

SmartStreet shows you UK area-intelligence scores (crime, schools, transport, etc.) and a property-level Homescore that combines those scores with property facts and asking-price comparables. Estate agents can publish listings to the platform.

SmartStreet is not a substitute for professional advice. The Homescore, area scores, and indicative valuations are informational only. They're computed from public datasets that may be incomplete, lagged, or wrong for your specific address. Don't rely on a SmartStreet score as the only basis for a property decision. Always get an independent survey, mortgage advice, and legal advice before buying or letting.

3. Your account

You need an account to save areas, save Homescore configurations, save listings, or publish listings (agents). You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials private. Sign in with Apple is supported and recommended — we never see your Apple ID password.

You must be 13 or older to create an account. SmartStreet isn't designed for children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

You can delete your account at any time from the Account tab in the iOS app or by emailing support@getsmartstreet.co.uk. Consumer deletions go through a 30-day soft-delete grace window in case you change your mind; agent deletions are immediate. See the Privacy Policy for details.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate any account that breaks these rules. For listings that breach them, we may withdraw or hide the listing.

5. Agent listings

If you're an estate agent publishing listings, you confirm that:

You keep ownership of the listing content you upload. By publishing on SmartStreet you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, and distribute the content via the SmartStreet app and any partner surfaces, for as long as the listing is live plus a short residual window (30 days after withdrawal) for caching and audit.

6. Consumer-saved content

If you're a consumer, the postcodes you save, the Homescore configurations you create, and any preferences (e.g. custom scoring weights) belong to you. We store them on your behalf so they sync across re-installs of the app. We don't use them for anything other than serving them back to you.

7. Data accuracy and limits of liability

SmartStreet's scores are computed from third-party public datasets (full list in the Privacy Policy). Those datasets are licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0 and we attribute them inside the app where the data appears. We make every reasonable effort to keep our copies fresh, but we can't guarantee a third-party dataset is current, complete, or correct for a given postcode at a given moment.

To the extent permitted by English law, SmartStreet's total liability to you arising out of or in connection with these Terms is limited to £100 or the amount you've paid us in the preceding 12 months, whichever is higher. We don't exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that can't be excluded under UK consumer law.

8. Intellectual property

The SmartStreet name, logo, scoring methodology, app design, and user interface are owned by SmartStreet. The public datasets we display are owned by their respective publishers (mostly UK government bodies) and are made available under OGL v3.0; the attributions live next to the data inside the app.

9. SmartStreet Premium (subscriptions)

SmartStreet offers optional paid Premium plans (weekly £3.99, monthly £9.99, quarterly £24.99) that unlock features like Homescore saving, full area-report breakdowns, area alerts, and Compare-tab extras. Pricing is in pounds sterling and is for UK customers only. New subscribers may be offered a 7-day free trial; the trial does not auto-renew if you cancel before it ends, and is one-trial-per-customer (we use server-side checks plus Apple's per-Apple-ID trial dedup to enforce this).

Subscriptions purchased inside the iOS app are billed by Apple under your Apple ID; cancel any time in Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions. Web subscriptions are billed by Stripe; cancel any time from the Account page (Manage subscription). On cancellation you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Refunds are at our discretion for Stripe payments and at Apple's discretion for Apple-billed payments.

If your Premium access ends (cancellation or non-renewal) any premium-only data — specifically saved Homescore configurations — is removed from your account. We'll warn you in-app before this happens. Saved areas and saved listings are free-tier features and stay regardless.

10. Beta, TestFlight, and changes to the service

SmartStreet is currently a private beta. Features can change, break, or disappear without notice while we're iterating. We won't lose your saved data through a feature change, but indicative scores may shift as the underlying datasets refresh or the scoring methodology evolves — the methodology is versioned and labelled in the app so you can see when it changes.

11. Termination

You can stop using SmartStreet at any time by deleting your account. We can suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if we're required to by law, or if we decide to discontinue the service. We'll give reasonable notice unless we can't (e.g. for security reasons or where the law requires immediate action).

12. Changes to these Terms

When we make substantive changes we'll update this page, bump the "last updated" date, and surface a notice in-app on next sign-in. Continued use of SmartStreet after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. If you're a consumer based in another part of the UK, you keep any mandatory consumer-protection rights of the place you live.

14. Getting in touch

Questions, complaints, or notices under these Terms should go to legal@getsmartstreet.co.uk. For data-protection queries specifically, the Privacy Policy sets out your rights and how to exercise them.
